Dairy Link was established in 2010 by New Zealand dairy industry veteran Earl Rattray, drawing on his deep dairy industry experience and international networks to provide specialist dairy industry insight and analysis for selected local and international clients.
Since its inception, Dairy Link has supported clients with a range of dairy-related advisory services, researching and reporting on dairy sector strategy, trade and price trends, dairy farming investment and governance support services. The client list includes consultancies, government agencies, dairy processors, dairy traders, farming investors and lenders.
Dairy Link maintains a long-standing association with leading international strategic food consultancy Gira, providing the Geneva-based agency with a comprehensive facts-based analysis and forecasts of key developments and supply-and-demand metrics relevant to Oceania and Southeast Asian dairy markets.

Founder
Earl Rattray has enjoyed a long-standing career in the New Zealand dairy industry with experience spanning active farming, industry governance and international advisory roles.
He was a founding board member of Fonterra Co-operative Group, serving through the co-operative’s formative years, and previously served as Chairman of the New Zealand Dairy Companies Association.
Earl retains interests in dairy farming businesses in New Zealand, the United States, Chile and India, and currently serves as a non-executive director of several New Zealand companies operating in agribusiness, biotechnology and wholesaling.
Earl’s professional recognitions include being a Fellow of the Institute of Rural Professionals and a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand.
